Smile makeover and teeth whitening in DLF Phase 2, Gurgaon
A smile makeover is a plan, not a single procedure. The aim is a result that suits your face and lasts — not the whitest possible shade regardless of how it looks on you.
What a makeover can involve
Depending on what is bothering you, a plan may combine:
- Professional whitening for staining and discolouration
- Veneers to reshape, close gaps or mask stubborn discolouration
- Composite bonding for chips and small defects
- Crowns where a tooth is heavily filled or broken
- Clear aligners where the underlying issue is alignment
- Gum contouring where the gum line is uneven or a smile shows too much gum
Health comes before appearance
Cosmetic work placed over active decay or untreated gum disease fails. Any decay, failing fillings or gum inflammation are addressed first. It adds a step, but it is the difference between a result that lasts years and one that needs redoing.
Teeth whitening, realistically
Whitening lightens natural tooth structure. It does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings — so existing restorations may need replacing to match afterwards. Temporary sensitivity during and shortly after treatment is common and settles.
Results are not permanent. Tea, coffee, red wine, smoking and paan all restain teeth over time, so expect to top up periodically. Whitening also cannot correct grey discolouration from an old root-treated tooth, which needs a different approach.
Veneers, and what they cost you
Veneers can transform the shape and colour of front teeth, but most types require removing a thin layer of enamel — an irreversible step. That is a reasonable trade for the right case and a poor one for a patient who mainly needs whitening or alignment. We will tell you when a simpler option would achieve most of what you want.
What it costs
| Treatment | Typical range |
|---|---|
| In-clinic teeth whitening | ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 |
| Take-home whitening kit | ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 |
| Composite veneer, per tooth | ₹4,000 – ₹8,000 |
| Porcelain veneer, per tooth | ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 |
| Full smile makeover | Quoted after assessment |
A smile makeover is usually a combination of treatments rather than one, so the total depends on how many teeth are involved. We price the whole plan before starting, not treatment by treatment. These are indicative ranges, not a quotation — your exact cost is confirmed after an examination, before anything begins.
Common questions
How long does teeth whitening last?
Typically several months to a couple of years, depending on your diet and whether you smoke. Periodic top-ups maintain the result.
Does whitening damage enamel?
Professionally supervised whitening at appropriate concentrations does not damage enamel. Unsupervised, over-the-counter and salon products used repeatedly are where problems arise.
Will whitening work on my crowns and fillings?
No. Whitening only affects natural tooth structure. If you have visible crowns, veneers or white fillings, they may need replacing afterwards to match the new shade.
Do veneers ruin your teeth?
Most veneers require removing a thin layer of enamel, which does not grow back. That is why we only recommend them when the result genuinely justifies it, and suggest alternatives when it does not.
